Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Truckist processes personal data when you use the Truckist mobile application, website and related services.
1. Controller and contact
Truckist is operated by AMYTIS GLOBAL in the Netherlands. AMYTIS GLOBAL is the controller of personal data processed through Truckist unless a third-party service acts as an independent controller for its own service.

2. Data we process

3. Why we process data
We use information to provide truck-suitable routing, address search, parking discovery, account and Community features, synchronization, notifications, translation features, Premium access, purchase verification, safety and moderation, customer support, fraud and abuse prevention, service security and legal compliance.
4. Location and permissions
Truckist uses location only for features that need it, such as showing your position, calculating routes and finding relevant truck parking. You can change location and notification permissions in your device settings. Where supported, address search can be used without continuous location access.
5. Translation
Supported automatic message translation uses Google ML Kit for on-device language identification and translation. Translation models may need to be downloaded to your device. The original Community message remains the authoritative stored message.
6. Service providers and geographic data
- Google Firebase — authentication, Firestore/cloud data, Cloud Functions, Firebase Storage, push notifications and related backend services.
- Google — Google Sign-In and Google Play services.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, Apple platform services and App Store purchases.
- GraphHopper — truck routing and address search.
- OpenFreeMap — map tiles and map styles.
- OpenStreetMap-derived data — geographic and truck-parking information.
- Google ML Kit — supported on-device language identification and translation.
Route and address-search inputs required to provide GraphHopper results may be sent through Truckist's backend to GraphHopper. Map-tile requests may be delivered by the map provider. Third-party providers process data under their own applicable terms and privacy information and may process data outside your country.
Payment-card details are handled by the relevant app store. Truckist does not need your full payment-card number to manage an app-store subscription.
7. Legal bases
Where applicable, processing is based on performing our agreement with you, consent for optional permissions, legitimate interests in operating and securing Truckist, and compliance with legal obligations.
8. Storage, retention and deletion
Some settings and vehicle information may be stored on your device. Account and Community data may be stored in Firebase. Account-linked data is generally retained while the account is active or while needed for the relevant feature.
You can request account deletion in Settings → Privacy & data → Account center or through truckist.app/account-deletion.
When deletion completes, Truckist deletes or irreversibly de-identifies account-associated personal data that is not required to be retained. A short-lived technical deletion guard may remain temporarily to prevent stale sessions from recreating deleted data. Limited non-identifying deletion-audit information may be retained for security and compliance.
A Founding Driver number that has already been issued may be permanently retired rather than reassigned, without retaining the deleted user's active profile identity. Security, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute or legally required records may be retained only where reasonably necessary or required by law. Apple and Google may retain store transaction records under their own policies.
9. Your choices and rights
You can change profile, language, notification and navigation preferences in Truckist and withdraw optional permissions in device settings. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, obtain certain data in portable form and withdraw consent.

If the GDPR applies, you may complain to a competent data-protection authority. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
10. Security
Truckist uses safeguards including authentication, access controls, server-authoritative checks and database security rules. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Children
Truckist is designed for professional road users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly design the service to solicit children's personal data.
12. International processing
Some service providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, applicable contractual or legal transfer mechanisms are used.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as Truckist or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date and, where appropriate, notice in the app or on truckist.app.
