Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Truckist processes personal data when you use the Truckist mobile application, website and related services.
1. Controller and contact
AMYTIS GLOBAL, Netherlands, is the controller of personal data processed through Truckist unless a third-party service acts as an independent controller for its own service.

2. Data we may process

3. Location permissions
Truckist requests location access only for features that need it, such as showing your position, route-related functions and finding relevant truck parking. You can control location permission in device settings. Where supported, you can search for a place or address without granting continuous location access.
4. Message translation
Truckist's automatic message translation is designed to use Google ML Kit on-device language identification and translation. Message text is processed on the device for this translation function, while translation language models may need to be downloaded. The original community message remains the authoritative message stored by Truckist.
5. Service providers
- Google Firebase — authentication, database/backend services, Cloud Functions, push messaging and website hosting.
- Google — Google Sign-In and Google Play services, including Android purchases.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, Apple platform services and App Store purchases.
- HERE Technologies — map, search and/or routing technology where enabled.
- Google ML Kit — on-device language identification and translation.
Payment card details are handled by the relevant app-store/payment platform; Truckist does not need your full payment-card number to manage an app-store subscription.
6. Legal bases
Depending on the activity, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, consent where required, legitimate interests in operating and securing Truckist, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent through the relevant device/app control where available.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the relevant purpose, service security, fraud prevention, disputes or legal obligations. Account/profile data are generally kept while the account is active and are deleted or de-identified when deletion is completed, except for limited retention that is legally required or justified for security, fraud prevention, accounting or dispute handling.
8. Account deletion
The public release will provide an in-app path to initiate account deletion. You can also request deletion without reinstalling the app through our web deletion resource.
When a verified request is completed, Truckist will delete associated personal data that it is not required to retain. Content that must remain for another user's conversation or a security/legal record may be irreversibly de-identified or retained only to the extent permitted or required by law.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy of certain data, and withdraw consent. Contact info@truckist.app. We may need to verify the request.
If the GDPR applies, you may complain to a competent data-protection authority; in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
10. Security
We use safeguards appropriate to the service, including authentication, access controls, server-authoritative checks and database security rules. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Children
Truckist is designed for professional road users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly design the service to solicit children's personal data.
12. International processing
Some providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on applicable provider and contractual/legal transfer mechanisms.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as Truckist changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by notice in the app or website.
